He founded the Queen’s University Formula SAE Team and acted as the Project Manager for two years. He lead a team of 40 engineering students to design and build two Formula racing cars during his last two years as a student. His designs included chassis, aerodynamics, and suspension.

With experience from karting, Marc acted as the team’s main test driver for two years. In the 1995 racing event he finished 12th in a field 84 cars. Marc purchased a 1982 XPIT in July of 1995 to compete in the Formula 4 series. Despite running an older vehicle, second hand tires, and an underpowered engine, he won the first race of the ‘96 season. In second place in the Championship, he was forced to end the season two races early due to a lack of funding.

Two other competitors passed him in the points in his absence. He finished 4th that year. The final Championship standings would see him in 2nd place for 1997. For the 1998 year he broke the qualifying record for the F4 class at Shannonville, qualified 1st in class four times and won a race, finishing 2nd in the TQLA Championship.

Marc’s hobbies include skiing, on snow and water, snowboarding, martial arts, and tinkering with computers/engineering.
