Peterborough District Camps - Brookwood

Location

Brookwood is located at the north end of the 8th. concession of Dummer Township just 45 minutes northeast of Peterborough Ontario.

The Property

The property consists of approximately 450 acres of woodland and open fields. A trail takes you through the woods to Rotten Lake (45 min walk).
There is a road through the camp that will take you to wilderness campgrounds.
There is also plenty of wildlife in the camp.

The Hunt Camp

The building is insulated and heated with an oil space heater. Inside the building there is a small bedroom with a bunkbed and a single bed. The main bedroom has three bunkbeds and a single bed. (the building will sleep 20 people in beds and on the floor) There is a large folding table with chairs.

The kitchen consists of a counter with sink and a propane oven/stove and propane barbeque.

The Bunkhouse

The log building is presently uninsulated. There are three rooms, a kitchen, a small bedroom and the main room. There are two folding tables with chairs. The building has two kerosene heaters.

The Well

A dug well is located to the northwest of the hunt camp.
