About two
years ago I finally convinced my mother in getting another cat, we already had
one and a little poodle so it took her many "no's: before a "yes" finally came
out. We went over to Petsmart just to take a look and we fell in love with
"willie". Willie was small enough at the time to adapt to a new name, and
Sylvester fit just right.
It didn't
take long for Sylvester to adjust to his new HOME, he left behind a little
playmate, but I think he was happy when he realized he now had two!! A few
months after we adopted Sylvester, we had to put our dog down, old age got
to her quite quickly. As sad as we were, Sylvester really helped fill the
gap missing from our hearts. He certainly picked up many
of our dog traits, especially the cuddling all night long in bed.
Sylvester perfers to be right on the pillow, and believe me he doesn't like to
share the pillow, good luck in finding just a little room for your head!!
And who said cats were part of the process of bathroom time?? Sylvester
won't stop until you let him in, from sticking his paw under the door to trying
his hardest to push it open, he sure is determined to get in. And shower
time, water doesn't scare him, he likes to stand right there and be apart of it
all.
One of
Sylvesters famous tricks is shutting off the touch lamps. If hes trying to sleep and the light is on, he walks over and
puts his paw on it and shuts it off or dims it, then turns back and gets
comfortable in his spot on the back of the couch. Amazing is what we
call it. Try and get him to do with the video camara on, NOT, he sure is
camara shy. So be watching folks, maybe one day he will become famous and
show off his stuff on "Funniest Home Videos"
Sylvester
has been a great addition to our family, and it gives me much pride is telling
everyone that we adopted him from Lakefield Animal Shelter and have
referred everyone interested in adopting to check there first. I actually
moved out of my moms place recently and of course I had to get a cat. Back
at Petsmart I was and I became the proud owner of
"Tudey".
So if you
or anyone is interested in adopting, LAWS can really help you out and match you
up with a permanent family member.
Thanks to
you all
