In the show lines we have the first Show Champion to have been made up in England Tilehouse Cassius of Beagold. Some of the others include Viber Aiming High at Mobella, Cluff of Mobella, Whenway Hope of Corinlea, Tork of Whenway, Mizanne the Witch and also some of the Clan Abbey dogs from New Zealand which have done so well in the English Show ring.

Champion Obedience lines include Boss of Thornymoor, Shanvaal Hiba. Patanne, Mirk of Monksmead, Megan of Monksmead and Fern of Greyvalley.

In our breeding programme we strive to retain the greatest qualities within the Border Collie breed. their ability to work largely on their own initiative in practical every day livestock, work around the farm yet to readily accept and obey commands.

Border Collies make great pets in the hands of owners who like to include their dogs in daily activities. These dogs are not couch potatoes nor will they destroy the garden or the house if left to amuse themselves. They are bred for work and therefore their active minds need to do something just like any intelligent people do. Therefore, in the hands of people who like to do things with their dog they are the most rewarding and loving companion that you could ever wish for. Most people with a "Border" never wish to own another breed and often when you have one then it leads to two and then ------!

Although other breeds like the Briard, Shetland Sheepdog, Australian Shepherd, Corgies and Beardies to name but a few have been bred for herding none works as the Border. Their working instinct is still very strong in these breeds and more so in some of individual dogs you are interested in seeing.
